I am a retired elephant trainer/caretaker/friend/sister. I was privilaged to be a member of an elephant family, with a particular african that was my best friend.
Excellant work. It is good to see people finally stepping up to the line.

Congratulations on a very comprehensive document. For greatest effect, it would be desirable if all countries which hosted wild elephant populations were encouraged to sign and adhere to the principles enshrined in this Charter.

Great work! One thing, in the \"select country\" list there is no Austria. You just have Australia, but I was unable to find Austria. Since there are many people that care for elephants in Austria, it would be great if you couls add our country to the country list.
Thanks a lot,

We\'re having some problems with spam-inserts on the signatory page - I\'m working on it.

Thanks for all you do for elephants, wild and captive. Agree with earlier comment re: signatories from countries that have elephant populations signing to the Charter and what a great and hopeful future we would have if that were the case.

There is a line drawn in the sand between humans and the wild. Upon this line,
we can stand on tiptoes and marvel at what we see - but that line should
never be crossed, for their sakes and ultimately, for ours.
