It is not just ivory that China is after. If protected animals are exterminated, then the land can be used for mineral exploration. The value of the ivory that remains explodes. It amazes me that a country with such a rich cultural history that is doing so much to save its own animal symbol, the panda, will think nothing of harvesting all that remains in other lands for profit, vanity, superstition. Greed is very energetic these days and so shortsighted.

We have a responsibility to save these majestic animals for now and for generations to come.
They are the record keepers of the earth. They have knowledge that holds the secrets. They are the holders of much that is necessary. When this species is threatened it is an indication of the foundation being destroyed beneath us. We must act collectively now to protect the elephants which will protect life for other species and our own. Please help!

Why don't we try and boycott goods from countries that allow trade in ivory. I know it might be dif***ult, but we have to hit them where it hurts. I am so ashamed of the human race.

It is time, we the people of this world, stand up and stop the atrocities against wildlife. They have as much right to this planet as we do.

We need to look after these magni***ent creatures, they are similar to humans in their social fields. We cannot afford to lose them!

Where do I sign as Friends of Elephants? I am a huge supporter and contribute presently to David Sheldrick Wildlife Fund. Ideally, I would live a life committed to helpng save and improve the lives of wild elephants
